More experimentation last night, with pleasing results. The problem is, with this kind of image, whether it's actually any good or simply just something that my eye regards as cool-looking. I decided long ago that aiming for "good" (whatever that means) is likely to result in persistent comparisons with the work of others and, inevitably, a consequent loss of momentum. Much better to be fully inspired by images I admire, but to aim to please myself in the main. I achieved that with this one. It's not perfect, but it's leading me somewhere I want to go.
